Cheap Conference Service for Business Meeting

Clients always determine where meetings take place. For me this means that I have to travel all over the country on a regular basis I try my best to press upon them that most of our meetings could happen via conference calls. Unfortunately they like to do face to face meetings. I try to press upon them the cost and time benefits of conference calling but they do no see it that way.

My last trip to meet an un-named accountancy company was pretty eventful for all the wrong reasons. I had a 6.10 flight from Munich (where i’m on a contract for 2 months) to London. However the gods were against me and although I got up in plenty of time I missed it. The problem was that my car wouldn’t start in the morning. It must have been the cold. Cue much fiddling then getting my flatmate out of his bed to push the car. However although I used the autobahn to its potential the delay meant that when I got to the airport it was 6 a.m. Meaning that check in was closed. I phoned the client but they said that I must be there. So i got the 8.30 flight that cost them a lot of money. I tried to explain that “they do have UK conference calls but alas it wasn’t meant to be. So off I hopped to London for a 15 minute meeting.

Anyway i just like to point out to all of you that conference calls are cheap, easy and there are so many service providers you can get it anywhere.
